The Centre for Language and Brain was established at HSE University–St Petersburg in 2024.
The Centre’s research is focused on issues pertaining to the acquisition, production, and comprehension of speech among people representing different population groups, including vulnerable groups and at-risk populations (e.g., children and the elderly).
The Centre’s team is engaged in devising applied solutions to help compensate for linguistic deficits in reading, as well as developing diagnostic and correctional tools for other speech disorders.

The Minister of Higher Education of Malaysia, Zambri Abdul Kadir, and members of the Malaysian delegation met with researchers from HSE University — St. Petersburg on October 10, 2024, at the exhibition of scientific projects.
